I once had a Jewish co-worker quip, “I am told that we are the chosen people, but I always wonder, ‘Chosen for what?’”
I also do not understand the the anti-Jewish hatred. The only thing I can figure is the perceived alien nature of the rituals of the Orthodox. I am a Catholic, and I think that lot of Catholic hatred at one time sprang from the rituals of the Mass.
That is why I watched the parts I watched...not for the overall interest but in determining just how biased it was; and it was pretty biased.
From what I saw of the ratings, this show beat OReilly only on one of the three nights it aired; and again, presumably because people like you and me tuned in just to see what dribble ms. amanpour would spew.

In a book about Ghengis Khan, it mentioned that Europe became terrified that his armies were on the way, and they slew as many Jews as could be rounded up in the 12th century, because as traders, they were perceived as traitors, who would have known ahead and smoothed the way for invaders. The Mongols never made it into Western Europe because of heavy forests blocking their way, according to this book.
Jew hatred is more ancient than I realized.

Hey! I have a question for you, after thinking about how I would go about telling people they are headed down the wrong road, how would you convince someone that the smooth talking beautifully handsome and powerful anti-Christ is not who he portends? I guess we have to just tell the truth, like the Bible says, call a liar a liar.
