It seems that DMX has a history of animal neglect. This could very well have nothing to do with Vick, but just Sheriff Joe timing this for positive publicity.

I don’t disagree that there has been a past incidence. Whether that’s on a caretaker or DMX’s drug use, I don’t know but there’s a difference between underfed or ignored dogs and cheering as they savagely tear each other apart and unlike some people who are silent about their pets, it seemed like the ONLY thing DMX ever loved or cared about. Just seems out of character for THAT ONE THING.
