King County (Seattle) Washington is the newer version of the old Cook County (Chicago) Illinois...We elected our current governor by recounting the votes (3 or 4 times) until the Democrat won.

I'm very sorry to hear that; you have my sincere sympathies.

I find it instructive to note that so very many (most?) super-close elections in recent years have ultimately been decided for the Dems, reinforcing the feeling among many that the only way that they can 'win' elections anymore is via vote fraud.

Thankfully, there was at least one major recent exception to that dark trend, despite an all-out effort by the Left.

In my work to preserve the Eastside Rail Line as a functioning rail line, one of my allies is a "Scoop Jackson" Democrat who recently lost the primary in his race for Seattle City Council. He was the one who took me to the Bill Richardson event that prompted Bill and Publius' Excellent Adventure.

One day over dessert and port wine, he admitted that the King County Democratic machine has a well of 3000 to 4000 dead people, fictitious people and elderly, senile people whose votes it could count on in any close election. He said you needed to win by 4000 to be safe in your victory.

On the day of the primary, I encouraged him to "vote early and often".
