I am so LUCKY to live in the great “evergreen” state....that slogan used to apply to our wonderful trees, now it applies to the fraudulent whackos in the governor’s office

Unfortunately, this minimal, bare article doesn't go into any essential details such as any which would address the very valid question that you raise.  My guess is that IF all or most of these 'errors' pertained to the specific polling places cited, the party affiliation MAY mirror the demographics of the area.  I'm guessing that Mr. Esser lives in a majority Republican area, and so it would follow (from my many guesses, if's and assumptions) that most of those affected would also be Republican.

Hopefully Mr. Esser will be able to shed more light on this issue than this poor article does when he speaks on TV this Sunday.
