Don't beleive the hype... this has been around for a while and has other uses. The whole "date-rape drug" title is another way for the gub'mint to control yet another thing. Just like iodine (and solutions above 2.2%) are now DEA list I because of meth labs.
Create a "Boogie-Man" and Create the solution, repeat. Just like guns, smoking, seatbelts, etc.
