What I posted, the quote was directly from the article”. Did you read the whole thing?
If it makes you feel better to thump your chest and believe you are so righteous and people who point out the obvious parts of this terrible tragedy are wrong and unsympathetic, go ahead and thump your chest, pat yourself on the back or whatever it takes for you to feel superior.
Of course, I will guarantee that all of the FReepers who read this article about the baby who died in this tragedy
have nothing but prayers for the deceased child now in Heaven and for the parents who have to live with this the rest of their lives.
and:
This is the part that just boggles my mind. She contacted her husband and asked him to meet her and park her car
Where is that in the whole article:
"ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-myFOXstl.com) --
A 7 month old baby girl died after police say she was left in a locked car for 4 hours in the sweltering summer heat.
Homicide detective says it happened because of a horrible misunderstanding between the infant's parents.
A woman walking across a Washington University Medical School parking lot in the 45 hundred block of Clayton spotted the baby girl in the backseat of a car around noon.
She ran for help.
Cynthia Coleman called 9-1-1 and told Fox 2, "They had to get a brick to burst the window open and got the baby out."
Emergency crews did everything they could, the baby girl was rushed to the hospital but she died.
Detectives say the baby's mother is a physician and the baby's father is a researcher.
Capt. James Gieseke a St. Louis City Police Homicide detective said, "Right now it appears there was a horrible mix-up between the 2 parents as to who had the responsibility, each one thought the other one had taken the child to the sitter."
Homicide and child abuse detectives are investigating. But at this point it appears it was a tragic accident. Still the case will be forwarded to the circuit attorney who will decide if any charges will be filed.
Washington University released this statement on the tragic death:
This loss is so tragic as to be almost incomprehensible.
Our hearts go out to the parents and all those who are touched by and coping with this heart-wrenching loss."
I am not the one thumping my chest about how awful these parents are. My heart breaks for the because I realize that I could have easily been one of the statistics if I had not had a Guardian Angel as well as my kids.
Come up with resolutions to make sure this doesn't happen again, not condemnation just because you were lucky enough to not make the same mistake.
