Good for this Mayor, Ihope he sticks to it! Public sex is illegal, it’s as simple as that.

It really is no surprise that homosexuals are almost the sole contracters of AIDS/HIV. Sexual deviancy + Loose morals = Consequences.

What's interesting is the use of the term "bathhouse."

The mayor is referring to the structures that contain multiple toilets as a "bathhouse," presumably meaning multiple bathrooms make up a bathhouse (as opposed to the old San Francisco-style bathhouses that were truly large indoor pools). The mayor also talked about advertisements in local papers to arrange meetings at particular stalls in a particular bathhouse.

Having gone to high school in Ft. Lauderdale, I can remember how it used to be for the "beach blanket bingo" crowd from the 1950's and 1960's, then it morphed into the spring break crowd in the 1970's, until the locals drove the college students to Daytona and then Panama City, and so apparently the gay population swooped in to fill the vacuum (probably migrating from Key West to South Beach [after the seniors who settled the area passed on] to Ft. Lauderdale).

I wonder why the locals feel that the gay economy is okay when the college economy was shunned and evicted.

Amen - why has it taken so long for a reasonable voice to be heard?

Is it too much to ask people to get a room somewhere?

Yes it is. Instant sexual gratification, anytime, anywhere, anyplace, is a large component of the gay male lifestyle.

This is why it is also too much to ask them to wear condoms.

Instead, we need to spend countless billions of dollars to try and cure AIDS at the time and expense of research towards curing other diseases.

Gay Sex in Public a Major Health Risk , and the good Lord saw fit to cure it and gave them AIDS. Now rampant sexual immorality has caused it’s spread and everybody is at risk. So now we’re in a race to find a cure to God’s answer.

The rest of the deviant lifestyle includes seeking young boys for participation. They are constantly running the “gays” out of the restrooms of the soccer fields. Several of those dirty little soccer players have ratted out the “gays” for peacefully practicing their fecal obession in the local public outhouses. Shame on those little homophobes.

You don’t get it. There is a reason the queers want to have sex in filthy public restrooms. This is part of the “lifestyle” and according to reports is very exciting to these alternative folks.

That quote from James A. Smith Sr. of the Florida Baptist Witness almost makes it sound like he's endorsing the Flush Naugle campaign. Quite the opposite, here is a link to his actual view along with an email link to Naugle. Link

I just drove through the Blue Hills Reservation, just south of Boston, on my way home from grocery shopping.

There is an overlook of the city on Chickatawbut Road - - meant for families.

There must have been eight cars there with a single male sitting behind the steering wheel waiting for a homosexual hookup.

It was 9:05 AM!

It is my understanding that the Massachusetts State Police have been ordered not to bother these deviates.

When I was a teenager, we used to watch the submarine races with our honey at the reservoir at Boston College. The Metropolitan District Commission Police (since merged into the State Police) would always chase us out.

After all, we were engaged in straight sex - - or at least trying to.

The homosexual is clearly a protected species - - too bad they’re not on the endangered list.

Is having sex in public restrooms somehow more healthy than doing a beer bong by the pool?

No.

Fort Lauderdale Tourism Board members said the mayor's opposition to public sex in tourist spots and bathhouses is hurting business.

FROM WHO?
Who are these NBC sources?
Could it be NBC is not showing the person because the person is a known participant in the alternative lifestyle?

This is like the days when Fort Lauderdale dumped the barfing in the streets, drunk college crowd for more family oriented business.

In the long run, that just like this stance, will be FAR SUPERIOR for business.

Why is a taxpayer funded organization pushing recreational, high risk sex in public rest rooms?

What's the old joke about God being a mechanical engineer, because no civil engineer would put a recreational area next to a waste disposal area?
Yet, gay men actually use the waste disposal area as their recreational area. Interesting.

Before he became politically correct, Richard Belzer once said this about AIDS:

“Gee, who would have thought getting “bleeped” up the “bleep” 50 times a day would be bad for you?”

Obviously, I substituted the bleeps.

Oh, and now I know not to vacation in Ft. Lauderdale. I don’t even want to know what is growing in the hotel rooms.

The homosexual is clearly a protected species - - too bad they’re not on the endangered list.

Events have a way of taking care of themselves, i.e., homosexual sex usually leads to an early demise.

This is essentially proof that homosexuality is the result of either a choice, a mental illness or both. If homosexuality were genetic, the homosexual gene would have been out of the gene pool thousands of years ago.

no there is a COSMIC difference between your situation and public bathroom sex.

First, police were chasing everyone out.
Second, you and your submarine aficionado honey were looking for a secluded place to go.
Third, you were not looking for an anonymous “wham bam goodbye”.
Fourth, the only way you were going to die watching submarine races was if her father caught you with her at the submarine races.

HERE, the homosexuals are actually ADVERTISING for anonymous, deadly risk, recreational sex in a public traffic venue.

Based on the mayor’s comments 74% of those in the public bathroom recreation will contract a terminal disease. The question is why is a Tourism Board, funded by taxpayers, promoting this in public bathrooms?!

Your statement is probably why this has come to the attention of the mayor, the homosexuals have been killing tourism in that city by driving family and regular people away.

I bet san francisco does not have much of a family vacation tourist industry any more.

The irony is he comes from a republican family and had to switch parties to get elected to office.

He could be a DINO against martinez (martinez would be toast) or a primary challenger to martinez (martinez would be toast)

OR run against Nelson later on.
