The anti-Rudi people have fallen for the liberal media’s portrayal of him as left leaning. They are doing this because they know he would clean anyone’s clock on the Dem ticket. I’m surprised how many conservatives fall for this BS. They certainly do not understand what it takes to survive politically in NYC. Rudy will really be able to kick some butt once he gets in.

To achieve his success given a 99% Majority Democratic city government should astonish most people. Instead they focus on the MSMs painting him as being a liberal.

AT least the majority know better than this. You can’t hide the fact of what NYC was and became.

“You do not “combat liberalism” by voting for liberals.”

No way in hell will this household vote for that damned liberal.

And we won’t vote for Hillary either!

"900 registered voters"

Therefore, meaningless.

At minimum, you have to get likely voters. The most accurate is going to be obtained by removing people who did not vote in the last primary.

I’m inclined to think you’re right about that. Fred is the only candidate (precisely because he is at the moment a non-candidate) who has not been tested in the “catching fire” department.

All the others have and there are not exactly flames leaping into the air.

IOW, the other guys behind Rudy have been around the race and had failed to capture the support of those who now are gravitating toward Fred. If he drops out and never gets in, many will either go with the frontrunner (whoever that is) or walk anyway. But it won’t result in a big bump for anyone in the middle tier.

I plan to remain a Republican, but will not support Ruby Julie-Annie. He, like Bloomterd, has made a career out of stabbing Republicans in the back.

If the RNC hacks in D.C. don’t get a clue, they deserve whatever they get...

Rudy is a politician and he understood that survival in NYC meant letting go of those issues which he could not win on anyway and focusing instead on crime and cleaning up the city....which he did and which had nothing to do with abortion, gay rights, or any of the other platforms that are important to the majority of NYC voters who would never vote for someone who didn’t at least say he was for those.

Again....either you are very gullible believing everything you hear or you do not understand anything about NYC politics.

Julie-Annie has shown he is a leftist, we don't need his love puppies on PBS telling us this.

Thank you for posting all that. I cannot believe that ANYONE would believe that Trudy is some sort of conservative standard bearer.

For the last time since some of you are pretty slow out there.....

I want to be NYC mayor.

Do I go with an anti-gay, pro-gun, pro-life, anti-immigrant platform?

Doesn’t take a genius to figure out where these positions grew out of....the city is 90% Democrat. And before you go off on your handgun rant. NYC is not Kansas. Like an airport....a busy public place you can not have a hand gun....nothing different.

Fortunately the majority of us GOP members have a clue.

"Sorta like how Sean Hannity constantly shills for Rudy, while always telling us that he's not pulling for any of the candidates. "

Well, thank God...I was beginning to think I was the only one who notices that particular phenomenon.

You're absolutely right, Sean can turn any discussion about anything into how rudy is the best at everything. I turn the station when he starts that crap. I think Sean absolutely soils himself everytime he gets near the man.

Rooty-Tooty will NOT make a good President. In addition to all the warning signs, I add my gut feeling that rooty is a flaming RINO, playing a "role" to get a "part".

This blind loyalty that Sean has for him is for naught, and it is going to cost Sean some listenership and credibility. Here's a lampoon of a typical Sean Hannity day.

Caller: "Ah, yes, Mr. Hannity, I would like to know what you think of democratic opportunists, showing up at serious events for political purposes only."

SEAN: "I think it's deplorable; Ya know when Rudy - the world's most qualified human being for President - showed up at Ground Zero, he didn't have anything like that in mind, he was sincere..."

Caller: "...but Sean, if that's so, why do you and his supporters tout "911" as one of his greatest accomplishments...I mean, would ANY Mayor - hell, even ray nagin - have been duty-bound to show up and say comforting words after such a horrific event?"

SEAN: "er, yes, BUT Rudy does it with such conviction; I mean I've known this man up close and personal for a long time, and he is a good family man, and..."

Caller: "Family man? But none of his kids have anything nice to say about him. Family man? Ask his ex-wife about that! And, what's all this about him cross-dressing and marching in gay pride parades; oh, and does a family support abortion? and...

SEAN: "Get off the phone you big dope."

Your attitude is more likely to promote a Hillary Presidency. If you know anything at all about the activists in the Republican Party, you will know that crime and 9/11 are not their only issues. Many, and it is a helluva lot more than 1%, will not vote for Rudy under any circumstances. They will either stay home or vote third party.

I have repeatedly posted data that (including Gallup), at this point before the campaign has started, suggests a large portion of the electorate simply has not focused and is answering the polls based on name ID alone. Once the comparison ads start and Rudy’s positions are scrutinized, he will drop. You can take that to the bank.

I happen to believe that when Fred gets in, the race will change completely. I know you are impatient for him to enter. But I have faith that, having won 2 landslides in Tennessee and being able to be in a statistical tie for first place (in the reliable Rasmussen poll) without spending a dime he may know a little bit more than you do about how to run a political campaign. We will shortly see who is right.

I am not a conservative, never said I was. But I am a Republican, and if the Republicans want to capitulate to the Democrats on the issues to get elected, they will lose.

The election should be about issues, not a cult of personality.

I don't like the dopers, the illegals, the perverts, the gun grabbers or the baby killers.

Meanwhile: In other news, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are the top three in the various republican straw polls.

Get outta here, Fox News has a Julie Annie bias? Next thing you’ll be telling me is that they’re pro-AMNESTY.

Or that Fox News is involved in perpetuating the global warming hoax...

Why are so many registered Republicans for Guliani?? Can’t they see he’s a RINO?

Quite a few aren't paying attention yet and don't know much about Giuliani's record.

Of course, we can thank talk show hosts like Sean Hannity for openly promoting Giuliani and falsely leaving the impression he is a conservative or an acceptable candidate.
