A natural redhead in Italy? Yep. I am Italian and a natural redhead although my hair is darker than this woman's, more of a coppery auburn. My maternal great-grandmother was a redhead and it has appeared periodically among her descendants. My great uncle used to say I looked like her. They are southern Italians with Greek surnames.

I was in high school( all girls Catholic academy) with an Italian redhead with beautiful hair named Concetta. She was very freckled and she had brown eyes.

If I had to venture a guess, because this was a conservative Catholic school in the 1960s(’66-nuns- blue pleated skirt-white tucked in blouse) and since she was a nice Catholic Italian girl, I would have to say I seriously doubt it. :)
