The idea that non-homosexual transsexuals are motivated...

What is a non-homosexual transsexual? A man who becomes a woman, but still wants sex with women? But if he's now a woman, wouldn't that make "her" a homosexual? Or, if a man changes to a woman so "she" can have sex with men, wasn't the desire a homosexual one to start?

I'm so confused.

There is the theory by Ray Blanchard that there are only two groups of transsexuals. Those that are publicly most visible and who have started the campaign against Prof. Bailey are the non-homosexual transsexuals (called autogynephilic by Blanchard). The other group is called homosexual transsexuals (HSTS). They usually are not perceived as men posing as women but perfectly pass as women.

The prominent autogynephilic transsexuals like Conway and James prove by their aggressiveness that they are really not women at all. Anne Lawrence has written an excellent article about their narcissistic rage that analyzes their behavior. See:

A fact that hasn’t been thoroughly researched yet is that there are homosexual transsexuals who do not undergo any treatment and are therefore living as seemingly perfect males. These individuals are the counterparts to their medically treated HSTS sisters who are not real women except for their social gender perception; the former are not real men except for their social gender perception.

A good site for information on HSTSs is:
