I hate to say this, but if we don't largely put an end to this war well before November 2008, the Dems then in charge of Congress and the White House be surrendering entirely early in 2009 no matter what the status is. We'll be leaving the Kurds to the gentle mercies of the Iranians and maybe the Turks.

If we don’t bring down the Iranian regime, it won’t matter whether we largely put an end to this war and we’ll be leaving the Kurds and Iraqis and others in the region to the IRI.
