The traffic here in SA is always congested and the politicians’ solution is to build a highway to Mexico. Wonderful.

I have never found San Antonio traffic to be congested, a little slow at rush hours, but not outright congested. When there, I travel from Bandera to Ft Sam over Bandera Rd, Loop 1604, and US 281. The trip takes approximately an hour regardless of traffic conditions, unless there is a traffic accident.

Hardbergers' push to toll 281 and north Loop 1604 is not an answer for the city's traffic. It would be a hinderance.

If you want to see congestion, come through Austin. I used to have an account in Kingsville, and frequently drove through S.A. at 5, and cruised through from 37 to 35 with little or no problem. By the time I got to Austin, 6:15 or so, it was a parking lot. I HATE the traffic in Austin, but luckily Round Rock now has about anything I used to have to go to Austin to get. My girlfriend lives in Houston, and those folks do it right. I-10 is 6+ lanes wide in some places. I love driving in Houston, lots of lanes and everybody hauls a$$.
