World: South Asia Sectarian violence in India
Police in the west Indian state of Gujarat say they've arrested a number of people after violence between Hindu extremists and Christians. There have been clashes over the weekend following violence on Christmas Day when buildings, including schools, hospitals, and churches were attacked.
The Christian community say the attacks are part of a concerted campaign against them which has worsened since the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata party came to power in Delhi in March.
no one likes the BJP man.. me included.. but the issue here is about how foreigners are treated not about conflicts within the same country.
