Baloney, Spiff. This has been discussed here on FR in the past and it’s documented on the Web. The wives are given secret names at weddings in the Temple. The only way for them to move “through the veil” - which not exactly analogous, is the equivalent of getting out of hell in order to go to heaven - is for the husband to call them out using that secret name. In fact, while the men can become gods, there’s really no way for a woman to become a god in the doctrine of the Mormons, right?

I'm Mormon and I've been to the Temple many times. The only "baloney" here is the stuff you're saying about the beliefs of the LDS Church.

Do you flatly deny the use of Temple names between husbands and their wives? Do you deny that this practice is the only way for a female to enter heaven? Do you deny that Mormons teach that men and only men can become “gods” through the LDS?

It’s important to acknowledge that the Lord our God is One, He is the Creator of all, that I AM is the reason we are, and that He reconciles male and female, slave and free, all nations and all sinners to Him if they believe in His Son. None of us can be gods, that’s the oldest lie. But we can all be His, by belief in that He gave His only Son, who lived a sinless life, died, arose on the 3rd day and lives today. There’s no place for secret knowledge, secret names, or making one of His children dependent on the will of another to enter heaven.
