Moreover, when Thompson filed his disclosure form with the IRS, he revealed that $72,000 of the $3.4 million raised is to be used for the general election. Former FEC General Counsel, Larry Noble told the Washington Post "I think it's problematic. Clearly it's a red flag."

Youll have to YELL. I mean, the guys already halfway to China.
Sleazy for you to say
And there it is! You just outed yourself as a liberal twit with zero understanding of the issues, and I'm surprised it took that long.
Please don't zot him yet mods, let us have some sport with this troll.
Fred thanks you for the added publicity this gives his campaign. It may result in a small fine but the national media attention is invaluable to someone just getting into the fray. This won’t be addressed by the FEC until sometime after the primaries are over most likely assuming they move at their normal pace.
You’d help ol’ Mitt’s campaign by sticking to the issues he’s promoting rather than getting down in the gutter. After all why bother if’n your guy is so far ahead and most of all perfect.
It's not a leftie slant at all. Not everything you disagree with is a "leftie slant". I'm not going to get bogged down in a gun rights argument.
As far digging holes goes; I am NOT going to hide my opinion because someone less than desirable people hurl juvenile insults at me.
Being vile toward people, calling them names, and personal attacks is truely a leftie thing to do.
The truth of the matter is, if Fred Thompson is innocent of any wrong doing in this matter...cool.
Reading through the responses and gauging the type of people that are supporting Fred is.....eye opening.
Regarding your umpteenth abuse reports on this thread. We have temporarily misplaced the FR rulebook. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regarding #83
Personal attacks, calling me names is against the rules.
Do you think you’re doing Mitt any favors by spouting tired anti-gun rhetoric on a conservative board that is hugely pro-gun?
I hope you’re not on any payroll for this, because you’re doing a really crappy job.
Please see Post No. 58.
It says it all.
As for “stupid”, consider this: You can’t tell the difference between “raise” and “spend”.
A recent sign-up proves to be a Mitt-Wit!
No, it isn’t! I, a hardcore FredHead, have defended Mitt against attacks far less sleazy than this. You have proven beyond a doubt by changing the title of this left-wing hate piece and omitting the first sentence in your post that you’re scummy and disingenuous. You then posted that you wanted to ban weapons that have been illegal under FEDERAL law since the 1930’s, proving that you’re a gun-grabbing fascist stooge with zero understanding of the issues. The only thing that’s eye-opoening is how tolerant the mods are of n00b-tard trolls.
You see, I once was unable to determine your level of idiocy to my satisfaction.
Now that I have seen this, it is very clear to me that it is complete...
Post of the DECADE right there buddy...
Are you wearing your eternity wear while posting? LMAO
Reading the thread YOU started is revealing as well.
How is life as a human Pinata?
“IT...IS...SLEAZY”
Are you talking about the sleazy used car salesman “tell you whatever you want to hear” named mitt romney?
The TRUTH of the matter is that even if the facts alleged are true, there has been NO wrongdoing.
If Thompson received any contributions that are earmarked as "campaign" contributions, they would have to be set aside - basically they would have to be earmarked for the election campaign and not used for the "testing the waters" phase.
It appears that Thompson has followed this to the letter, but a few nummnuttz on the left and some Romneyite fire-engine-chasing-dogs have been working hard to turn this around and make it look like something the very opposite of what it actually is.
