Certainly this would mean war with Iran. The Kurds have been our staunchest ally in this part of the world and we would have to defend them, even against Turkey. But Iran is a no brainer.
With the crackpots in Tehran ranting and raving 24 hours a day, they are going to have to be stopped at some point. This may be it.

The problem is this. The Kurds have been harboring terrorists and rebels (or rather they haven’t done anything to root them out) that are killing and bombing Turkey and Iran.
If Iran moves in, I suspect that Turkey will also. And that will place the US, and Iraq, in a very odd position.
Would we risk war with a NATO ally in order to defend the Kurds?

Those little bearded bastards(Iranians) would have their azzez handed to them if they made a move into any part of Iraq. I almost hope they do. To much of our blood has been spilled at the hands of those smelly mullahs. I say we go in, and LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!

I am in Fallujah right now and everything is calm. The media is full of crap.

Here is the picture that Drudge put above the link for this same story:
It is the same AFP picture used on the front page of Monday's Washington Times.
If this guy is indicative of the soldiers in the Iranian military, I wouldnt be too worried. Note how high he has his elbow. This makes it harder to manage recoil. Also note that his left thumb is blocking view of his front sight.
Just thought I'd share.
