Meanwhile, 103 in El Paso, TX. I could go for some global cooling right about now.

I don’t buy that humans are causing global warming but this article is silly. Anyone who has taken freshman stat could tear huge holes in it. One day, week, month, or year being colder or hotter than normal doesn’t prove anything. Long term trends show warming. That is almost impossible to dispute. The questions that aren’t answered are whether it is within the bounds of natural cycles and what if any contribution humans have to it.

Just when this prediction thing is all planned out into the infinite future, temperatures on earth going up by exponential increments, then reality has to rear its ugly head....

Look up the word “homeostasis”. This describes the state of the vast number of interlinked elements and the complex relationship of one to another.

Too much CO2 in the atmosphere? What are the critical levels? I would expect it is WAY above twice, or three tims or four times the current level.

But the fact is, CO2 will never again reach that level while there are green growing plants capturing the very small concentrations of CO2 in the atmosphere, and converting them into carbohydrates and free oxygen.

In 2000 Al Gore was talking about “risky schemes”. Trying to artificially reduce the CO2 concentration in our atmosphere is just another “risky scheme”.

If we clean the pond, the lilies shall die. We NEED CO2 in our atmosphere.

Algore has done a Jimmy Carter and refuses to debate anyone (including Pee Wee Herman) about global warming.

He may soon have to go back into hiding until he can come up with his next scheme (or gets his next set of plans from the Acme Company).

Thanks for the post. I didn’t see the other one. I would have missed it otherwise.

OK, obviously a refresher is needed:

If it’s hotter than normal, thats global warming.
If it’s colder than normal, thats because of global warming and its cousin “climate change”.
If a storm forms anywhere on the planet, thats because of global warming because storms never happened before global warming.
If there is more or less precipication this year than last, that is because of global warming.

That should about do it. Any questions?

You all just don’t understand. Here’s the revised version of the global warming mantra. “If it’s hot outside it’s because of (manmade) global warming. Oh, it’s cold? Oh yeah, that’s global warming too.”

For those of you that can’t decide whether we’re burning up our planet or freezing it, you can use “Climate Change”. This will cover your butt no matter what the temp is.
So, you see, no matter what the temp is or the trend is, the cause is ALWAYS the fault of humans.

Don’t forget that whether you believe in cooling or warming, use the phrase, “this is undeniable”. Use of this phrase will guarantee that your view is unassailable and paint any who disagree with you as uninformed morons. It works for AlGore and it can work for you!

As I understand it, spotted owls and snail darter excretions are major contributors to global warming.

Gore and his dooms day prophets are just that, prophets for profits. He’s in good with the enviromental kooks in convincing us and hoping that if it catches on(with the stupid Americans) that there will be plenty off profits for all.
