When I was reviewing the literature for this thread, I found an interesting analogy—Hurricane Dean’s windspeed at landfall was comparable to the speed of a commercial jet at takeoff.

WOW! I’ll bet we won't get any of the weather channel goons standing out on the beach in front of a camera.

I like the part of the comedian Ron White’s hurricane sketch.

“It’s not *that* the wind is blowing, it’s *WHAT* the wind is blowing.” Then he goes on to explain it could be blowing a VW bus right into you. LOL!
