After the immigration bill was killed, we let ourselves breathe a little easier. But just because that battle was conquered doesn't mean we don't have a long way to go. Last week's deportation of Elvira Arellano -- an illegal immigrant who'd been hiding out in a church for over a year -- has lifted the issue to the bubbling surface of controversy once again.
My own Montgomery County is the center of a specific battle right now. An ID card is apparantly being issued by immigrant advocacy group CASA de Maryland. According to the Washington Examiner, the group has provided more than 10,000 ID cards to illegals over the past 10 years.
Instead of enforcing the law, these cards encourage breaking it. They are used to enroll children in school, cash checks at certain banks and even vie as a residency document, according to the Examiner. And you don't have to prove your a resident of Montgomery County to get them -- just an identification of some kind with your native country noted.
It is interesting that CASA de Maryland has produced a 2007 report called "Protect Yourself From Immigration Raids," which gives advice to illegal immigrants on how to handle the authories. On the front page, it reads:"Some people who are not United States citizens have been arrested or detained by the U.S. government. Learn how to protect yourself if this happens to you!" This was produced in affiliation with Detention Watch Network and National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. These are groups that must be closely monitored due to their obvious dedication to harboring illegals.
Just two weeks ago, the Washington Times reported that, "Islamic extremists embedded in the United States -- posing as Hispanic nationals -- are partnering with violent Mexican drug gangs to finance terror networks in the Middle East, according to a Drug Enforcement Administration report."
It's clear that terrorists and other harmful individuals to American's national security are taking advantage of our lax border security and capitilizing on what some (like Kirsten Powers on last night's O'Reilly Factor) call "compassion."
The article states that according to a DEA intelligence report, "Lack of information sharing between U.S. intelligence agencies is creating a blind spot in the war on terror and has left the U.S. vulnerable to another attack, the report states."
Lou Dobbs reported on this trend (and was joined by California Republican Rep. Ed Royce) in an Aug. 8 broadcast, saying that, "The fact is, the Republican secretary of the Department of Homeland Security has refused to move ahead with that fence. Has played every game imaginable to avoid securing that border and has been nothing more than a political functionary in support of this administration rather than a man taking seriously his obligations to the safety and the welfare of the American people."
So there is a lot to be done. Enforce the laws. Build the fence. Fight the battle for legal immigration against those -- like CASA de Maryland and bleeding heart liberals -- who advocate what is essentially lawless migration to an America. If that ever becomes a more palpable reality (as the lack of enforcement currently previews the possibility), we will have lost more than just national security and proud citizenship -- but our national identity and much more.

Excerpts:
Talk with your co-workers to see if they are willing to make a collective decision that everyone - regardless of their immigration status - will remain silent and ask to speak with an attorney in the event of a workplace raid.
Tell co-workers not to run and to remain calm if there is a raid.
If there is a union at your workplace, contact your union spokesperson to find out more about preparing for a raid.

QUISLING: a synonym for traitor, someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country.
U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.
None dare call it an invasion!
Have you not read any of my posts where I called it an invasion? Please keep reading.
I should have said the media, not FReepers or the general public. My mistake.
And his latest security "idea" is declaring chicken houses terror targets requiring growers to register their propane tanks, if they are over a certain size........
WHO WILL SPEAK UP FOR THE CITIZENS OF AMERICA??? Mr. President? Absolutely no. Senators? Few. Representatives? A few more. Governor (CA)? No. Mayor (L.A.)? Absolutely no.
Taxation without representation (and many more crimes committed against the American taxpayer/citizen.
NO MORE VOTES FOR GLOBALIST/OPEN BORDERS POLITICIANS/CROOKS!
We do!
“NO MORE VOTES FOR GLOBALIST/OPEN BORDERS POLITICIANS/CROOKS!”
Can any good come from evil? Well, not directly, but
it is clear that all of the violent crimes perpetrated by
illegals is starting to have a real impact on average
Americans. A few years ago, I believe Shamnesty would have
passed, as most illegals were confined to the western states
Under the skilled leadership of our esteemed POTUS, an extra
10 million illegals have jumped our borders. Many of them
are criminals. Now they are wrecking communities from Boston
to North Carolina to San Francisco. It is tragic that this
was the only way to make people aware of this INVASION, but
we may indeed have turned the corner on public awareness.

One of the killers---Carranza---had 31 counts of child rape against him---but was set free by the assorted "diversity" morons in Newark.
SUSPECTS UNDER ARREST Melvin Jovel, Jose Carranza, Rodolfo Godinez (L to R)
The international implications are fraught with money-laundering possibilities.
Drug money could easily be laundered through tax-free donations----the "donation" is then redeposited offshore after the N/P takes a cut.
For example, Western Union could be conducting a large scale money laundering operation in the export of this type of laundered cash. If money was derived from illegal activities in this country, Western Union is aidingand abetting the conversion of monies (also a crime). International WU money transfers might need to be filtered and siezed.
ACTION YOU CAN TAKE Report suspected money laundering and tax evasion as follows: You may remain anonymous if you wish.
