The failure of any Freepers to attend was noted in today's Washington Post:

The conservative Web site Free Republic, getting wind of yesterday's meeting by what it called the antiwar "moonbats," urged its patrons to attend and "inject a little verbal calcium into [Davis's] backbone." But the Freepers, as they call themselves, didn't show up, leaving Davis (dubbed a RINO, Republican in name only, by conservatives) free to pander to the moonbats.

I just read the article. So poor. So biased. I think it would have gotten a failing grade in Journalism 101. Fine for a blog. Tolerable on an editorial page. Where do the scums at the .com-Post put it? Buried on a back page in the Metro section, certainly. What? A02??? Are you kidding me? The 2nd page of the whole damn fishwrap????
