Osman is prepared to die for the cause of jihad. He is Muslim first. A young man who was raised in affluence not in his native land of Pakistan but in fine London surroundings is now a well trained combat veteran of the Islamic movement for global dominance by Allah. He is a soft spoken, well educated . . . .

This comports with Peter Bergen's book, The Osama bin Laden I know. It's about OBL and it covers the scores of Arab jihadist volunteers who went to Afghanistan "prepared to die for the cause of jihad" while the Afghans just mostly wanted to fight off and be free of the Soviets.

The book explains and documents that there were no OBL - CIA connections. Supported mostly by contributions OBL was doing his own war against the Soviets that evolved into Al Qaeda with the urging of Zawahiri.

There were factions among the Afghan people and among Arab jihadists. The CIA helped some but not OBL.

Osman and four others, would then fly, train, and bus from New York in a circle over the next week to Memphis and Atlanta and finally wind up at a “survivalist” camp in Texas. There, Osman and seventy-five other “recruits” would train in a remote camp for seven weeks. The instructors who would teach Osman and his fellow terrorists the art of using weapons and explosives were former Navy SEAL and U.S. and British Special Forces “mercenaries” who will train anyone for CASH. Osman will tell you he received the “best”, most comprehensive, training in Texas. The United States is perfect to train because there are remote areas, the gun laws are lax, and we have literally thousands of “camps” and “mercenaries” who enjoy training people to kill for a price.

This type of “training” has gone on within the boundaries of our nation for many years. Literally thousands of now “terrorist experts” received the best training in the world in Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, and other states that allow businesses of this sort.

I see it, but don’t believe a work of it. You want us to believe that ex navy seals are knowingly training islamic terrorists.

Hadn't considered that. You might be right. I hope so. Definitely does not pass the smell test, now that you point it out to me. I generally think of SEALs as being men of integrity, true lifelong patriots, men you can look up to. I too, doubt you'd find any real ex-SEALs knowingly involved in the training of muslim terrorists. Such instructors must be posers.

Source: Dateline NBC. They ran a feature on
Osman Maquati last year. I’m sure the records/files of his statements are available including reference to “former Army special forces and a Navy SEAL working the camp in Texas to train anyone willing to pay the fee”.
