And then all the breeding that's going on in some parts of the world is putting extra weight on the surface.

Global warming is making the Earth expand! THE EARTH IS GOING TO EXPLODE!
And don't forget, it's Bush's fault too.

I’d venture a guess that the hydrodynamic forces of a tsunami *might* attenuate some of the waves due to the hurricane.
(However, if you’re on the coastline when they both hit, you’re REALLY screwed...)

If I were a writer for the San Francisco Chronicle with no leanings toward bias and favoritism, I would say that the earthquake was because God is wanting to punish South America because it is against a country that is mostly Christian and that the South American countries are leaning toward Communism. I would only say that if I were a non biased liberal Democrat writer that is honest and truthful....

I beleive I read somewhere that the entire population of the world would fit into Kansas. But then, Kansas might sink into the Earth’s core, causing unfortunate results.

They would fit very nicely in Texas, with about 5000 sq ft per family.

Novel already written about this, "Brain 2000":

Written by the same novelist, Ernest K. Gann, who wrote "High and the Mighty" (starring John Wayne, has a catchy soundtrack theme, too):
and "The Aviator" (book is better than the movie but books usually are, movie stars Christopher Reeves and Rosanna Arquette).
