Geraldo had problems as a youth because Puerto Ricans had the well deserved reputation for gang violence in New York and Long Island and others, like him, suffered from the stereotype. So, we should now tolerate 20 million illegals in America to make up for the hurt feelings he suffered as a 12 year old.

Sounds rational to me.

I recall reading a stat somewhere that since 9/11 illegals are responsible for 4,000 murders per year. Is this accurate?

Of course, NOTHING will be done about until middle class Americans become victims. Newark's poor are not exactly the kind of people politicians pay attention to. If 20 Million illegal aliens suddenly get to vote, who would engender more support from that large voting block than a political candidate who had been their front line media supporter...Geraldo Rivera? I don’t think this is just Rivera’s “personal opinion” on illegal aliens, but believe Rivera sees this issue as a way for him to gain future political power.
