Agreed.

I think the Michigan State GOP might have some serious issues about this. Nugent would stand a better chance running as an Independent (like Ventura)

It will be interesting to watch if he does get in...

Slick Willie got elected President twice.

His choice of words, his unrepentant past womanizing, and his tendency to take things a bit to far when addressing people he disagrees with would provide lots of ammunition.

However, he would likely have broad appeal with a lot of people who would overlook those faults, or simply not care.

The fact that he doesn't back down when he is attacked will also likely carry him far with a lot of voters that won't trust any of his opponents. A lot of people that are sick of the current state of politics will be drawn to such a "colorful" and brutally honest candidate.

While it might hurt his chances for a governorship, it's makes him perfectly qualified for congress.
