The Caribbean hurricane season lasts from June through the end of October. Most hurricanes occur in September, with August being the second most frequent month. I would never go anywhere near the Yucatan or the Caribbean in the summer or early fall. Not only do you risk a ruined trip, and disaster, but even if there isn’t a hurricane is it unbelievably hot and humid. I made that mistake once, back in the 80s, and I won’t make it again. Not a summer place.

As long as it stays away from Cabo, I don’t care. I will be there in 4 weeks. I can’t wait, I think I can taste the Margarita’s already.
