It's the same as tracking guns: only the law-abiding will comply. Criminals will continue to break the law more than ever, while legitimate parties get snagged on BS "technicalities".

The adult industry has already done an excellent job in policing themselves. This is typical of big government under the guise of moral values, the type espoused by the likes of Mike Huckabee and Sam Brownback.

This act protects the people who work illegally by chopping the more moderate producers into a bureaucracy grinder. Offshore producers benefit the most.

Off course, to places where it's completely unregulated and there are no limits to the sleaze. And that same material will become available in the US by means of -- let's call them black and grey market channels.
So, let's review. The porn will get sleazier. People (including kids) will still access it. But at least puritanical pols will score a few political points. All IMMHO!
