I’ve never understood the whole “you can’t be arrested for a crime if you’re standing inside a church” thing. If she was wanted for a crime and they knew where she was, why not serve the warrant and go in?

Harlem erupted in fury. When Sharpton and Jackson demanded to see the mayor, he refused to even let them meet the police commissioner. The "crisis" quickly ended, as it always does when one stands firm.
