Does anybody on earth have better medical insurance than high ranking U.S. officials?
Only those who pay their own way...
Not to worry: The Hildabeast and socialized medicine will be FREE for EVERYONE after 2008!/sarc
Yep, and thanks to Tony's boss, many of them can and will lose their homes because Bush killed a medical exemption to his draconian banruptcy "reform" law.
Good grief man, he has the same health coverage as any senator or congressman.
It may be medical expenses, but it also could be that he’s thinking he needs to really get his finances juiced up in case he’s not able to work many more years (or worse).
In any event, I’m saddened that some here don’t believe Tony is telling the truth. He doesn’t owe us an explanation at all, but if he gives one, I for one, believe him, all the while understanding there are always many, many factors that go into a decision such as this one.

The criminal part of this is that the medical system, especially when it comes to oncology, uses barberic treatments that mostly do not work. They may at some point kill the cancer, and at the same time destroy vital functioning of the body. Chemo severely damages hearts. Chemo destroys the immune system. They measure their “success” by 5 year survival rates. The reason there are no cures being used by conventional medicine is because the things that work are generally inexpensive, and they make no money for Big Pharmaecopea. It is an evil system that generally does not care about the patient, only the money to be extracted through insurance and co-pay. The FDA supports this failure of a system because they are in the business of protecting Big Pharmaecopea, not patients.
Yup, it did it to me and my husband. Thank you for your understanding.

I believe Snow. Cancer is not only insidious, it's an expensive enemy to fight. Further, if it's at an aggressive stage, he's probably looking at the long term - like I am. He's got to earn as much as he can now, and secure those assets, to ensure there's enough to sustain his family after he is gone. That means increasing your earnings immediately while you still have the strength to work.

Probably not. When you go from making 500k plus, to 168k it does take a toll. Mortgage, taxes and yes, medical expenses add up.
Most Americans will think this is a big deal but think about your life if you went from making 75k a year to taking a job that paid 40k.
I believe that he has financial pressure - cancer treatment does not come cheap. He has spent a lot of time in the hospital and has had multiple operations. Insurance does not cover it all. The other thing is that he still looks very sick and I’m sure he must be thinking about how his kids will get through college if he has to spend so much on health care expenses - and especially if he does not survive. The job itself, while he loves it, has got to be very draining physically and emotionally if he is not feeling well. He has to put his health and his family’s welfare before other considerations and I respect him for doing that.
If Tony goes bankrupt due to medical expenses, when will those of FR call him a bum..that he should have managed his expenses better. You know how some on here have no tolerance for people who fall on hard times.
