I have to say that does not ring true. I say that even as I like and respect Tony Snow. But if this story quotes him acurately and not out of context, I think Tony just lied to us about his main motivation to leave.
He could have said ,
"I am leaving because I need my energy to fight this cancer which now threatens my life, and I cannot fight cancer and do the best job as needed by the President."
Anyone can see that likely is the case.
Sounds like a good reason to me. On what basis are you claiming that Tony Snow lied about this?
I’m not going to question Tony on this one. I believe that Tony knows he’s going to die in the next couple of years and he wants to gather enough cash for his wife and children to live on for the rest of their lives.
I wonder who will be telling us that immigration reform isn’t amnesty and the SPP is only about jelly beans after he’s gone?
