The use of “dead” embryos is a joke. If they’re dead, they are no longer pluripotent. If you want to follow that rabbit trail, go for it. But I’m not coming along for the ride.

ANT is characterized as using dead embryos because the science so severely disables the embryo that it cannot develop normally to birth if implanted. THAT is acceptable to some who call themselves pro-life. But the purposeful deceit of misleading folks with calculated false wording is a sign even they know it is wrong if seen for what it is. If you give me succinylcholine, place me on a respirator, then shoot me in the head, I’m dead but I have lots of usable parts to harvest ... same thing here only at embryo age.

FReepers are smart enough to see reporting from any and all sources for what it is. They don’t need their hands held by Romney spinners.

The Boston Globe has done tons of reporting on Mitt Romney over the years.
Mostly, it was reporting that was based on information provided directly by Mitt Romney, his campaigns, or from his office as Governor.
Throughout most of that time, the message coming from Romney’s press flacks was designed to provide bonafides of Romney’s liberalism, so that he could win support and votes from liberal Massachusetts voters.
For the last year, or a little more, actually, Romney had a different set of voters (us) in mind, so he morphed.
Why in the world would you be surprised if the liberal Boston Globe were a little miffed about that, and took the opportunity to rebroadcast Romney’s years of liberal policies and rhetoric?
Why would conservatives who care about principle not pick up on these facts about Romney’s record?
Get real.

wow. is this guy consistent on anything?
Wow, I don't know! I own a mutual fund called Dodge and Cox which invests in thousands of things. Since I don't know a damn thing about any of the companies they have invested in, I for damn sure ain't going to run for president in 2008 for fear you and the MSM might find one of those companies involved in SCR and perhaps even medical supplies used in abortion clinics........
I'm selling everything off and putting all my assets under my mattress in preparation for my run in 2012..........

Romney on his record and the his health care plan. Fox News a few days ago.
“So its one of the things Im most proud of. And I hope I get a chance to debate Hillary Clinton on the very topic because when Im asked what the biggest difference is between my plan and her plan, Ill say that mine got passed.”

I really don’t think that Mitt’s record stands up to the scrutiny. I think that he is to the right of, for instance, Teddy Kennedy, but far to the left of, for instance, Dingy Harry Reid.

"Mitt is a guy who says what the voters want to hear. In Massachusetts it took saying one thing. In the Republican primaries it takes saying another."
Exactly so.
Great post.
Mitt's biggest problem in my opinion is also his greatest asset.
The man is simply not very good at being a politician.
For that, FReepers of every stripe are trying to burn him.
Mindlessness prevails even out here at times, it seems.

So is it OK for Chelsea Clinton to work in an unspecified position for a 12 Billion dollar Hedge Fund in New York? Since Hedge Fund investments are closely guarded secrets, who can say they AREN'T into stem cell research investments? But wait, they're 'rats', so who cares??
Will she be required to give up her position if her Mum is elected President?
I hate seeing Mitt trashed like this..

"Well, they loved him for most of his career."
Yeah the Boston Globe really loved him when he was running against Shannon O'Brien for the Governorship back in 2002.

The Globe is about as likely to have once helped Romney (who challenged their Holy God, The Swimmer) as Alan Keyes is to ever win an election.
