Dutch Dhimmitude
Political Mavens/Jewish World Review ^ | August 17, 2007

Bishop Martinus "Tiny" Muskens, of the diocese of Breda, advises Catholic churches in the Netherlands to replace "G-d" with "Allah" while celebrating the Eucharist to promote rapprochement between Christianity and Islam and to ease tensions.

The Stiletto cannot understand why Christians in the Netherlands need to ease tensions with Muslims, instead of the other way around, considering filmmaker Theo van Gogh’s brutal murder by an Amsterdam-born Muslim in 2004.

Recall that Mohammed Bouyeri shot van Gogh eight times, slit his throat – nearly decapitating him – and stabbed him in the chest with two knives. One of the knives was used to affix a five-page jihadi manifesto to van Gogh’s body that called for the destruction of America and all "nonbelievers" in the name of Allah - the Beneficent - the Merciful (scroll down for the English translation). The manifesto also threatened the life of Ayaan Hirshi Ali, who wrote the script and narrated Van Gogh’s film, "Submission," which criticized treatment of women in Islamic countries.

Bishop Muskens is a controversial figure, who has defied Vatican leadership on other matters. Thankfully, he is set to retire soon, and can get on his knees to Allah all he wants. As for his fellow countrymen, a survey of more than 4,000 people published in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf finds that 92 percent do not want their tulips uttering a prayer to Allah.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) thinks it’s a good idea for everyone to pray to Allah, according to spokesperson Ibrahim Hooper. ‘Nuff said.

Did someone tell Muskens that he’s a few months late for April Fools?

Ask the parishioners of every church that has been firebombed in Europe and the Middle East. Our president only talks about the Golden Mosque of Samarra being destroyed by one group of Muslims fighting another group of Muslims. He never talks about our churches being destroyed by Muslims, or of the priests and nuns killed in Turkey (especially) and elsewhere in the Middle East by Muslims. ‘Cause don’t ya know: Islam is a religion of peace, and the Turks are our allies.

This guy is really dangerous. Can you even imagine how this kind of foolishness resonates in the nuttiest corners of islam-o-kooksville? The West is in for it unless we immediately rein in those among us who really have a death wish.

Does this "Bishop" think Jesus would have his followers replace the word God with "Cesar" to promote "raproachement" between Christians and Romans?

I may know too little about Christian doctrine, but I know the difference between someone motivated by faith and someone motivated by fear & cowardliness.

Great point! From the earliest Christian Martyrs thrown to the lions to the 20th century Armenian Martyrs killed by the Ottoman Turks, how many millions died professing - not renoucing - their faith. This “Bishop” is a disgrace, and if only the Vatican could move fast enough to defrock him before he retires in a few weeks.

There is but one G-d, and Allah is NOT his name.

May God Bless the Netherlands with a bishop who will be of the traditional type. O God, please help B16 in this search. Amen
