If the world hate[s] you, ye know [keep in mind WU] that it hated me before it hated you. EVIL ALWAYS HATES GOOD. CAN’T STAND GOOD.
GOOD IS AN AFFRONT TO EVIL’S VERY EXISTENCE.
We are challenged to overcome evil with Good.
But also to avoid being wimps . . . it is also said in Scripture that the Righteous take territory by force. It’s not clear what that means . . .
AND THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL BUT ARE INSTEAD PRAYER AND FASTING AND GOOD DEEDS . . .
but at least it means we are not to be wimps.
