7 reasons to move to Sealand
This is why, if given the chance you would want to move to the Principality of Sealand…..

1) It is the only country with no army and no police force

The nation is so secure that an army and police force are not needed. The inhabitants of the nation look after the daily running of the Principality and see no need for an army or police force.

2) It has the lowest crime rate in the world – 0%

As the Principality is very difficult to reach and with a lowly population, crime is not an issue so it officially has the world’s lowest crime rate!

3) It has the highest GDP per person in the world

With only a handful of inhabitants who run their own businesses the GDP of the country is the highest in the world, beating even the likes of trillion dollar economies such as Hong Kong

4) It fought off the British Navy single handedly and won

The British Royal Navy tried to seize control of Sealand in 1968 but the islanders fought back and fired upon the Navy who retreated. The battle was brief but after the point of retaliation from the Principality the Navy and no other country has since attempted to invade or attack Sealand

5) There is no personal tax; everything you earn is tax free

Sealand has its own economy, own banking and own rules. There is no tax on personal earnings and is a complete tax free haven for the inhabitants

6) It has its own secure data centre

The Principality has its own data centre’s on the island. If Sealand wanted to, they could host and distribute any type of file without fear of prosecution as they are outside all countries laws and jurisdictions! The file sharing network PirateBay tried to purchase the island in 2007 to take advantage of this loop hole, but failed in their attempted purchase!

7) It has the world’s smallest postal service

Never worry about your letters being delivered late! The island has issued their own stamps and using drops to the mainland and around the world are officially able to send and receive their own mail under their own national postal service
