“It’s Illinois moron, Mitt has spent very little time or money there. Shows the true strength of his campaign.”

Name calling - "moron" won't help either. It is you candidate that is the "moron".
It really doesn’t matter where it is.

Well the numbers reveal that Mitt is already in DEBT to the tune of 9 million. The race really hasn’t started yet. Few GOP LEADERS never even bothered to show up - that’s how HOLLOW his “victory” is and after spending 6 months in Illinois, I’d expect him to have a much higher percentage.

Hey, feel good about it ... since when it counts he won’t be in the WH. Educated voters know to NOT vote for another RHINO - honestly he was a former governor of Massachusetts - home of LIBERALS ... anyone with half a brain KNOWS, NO CONSERVATIVE would win in MASS..

Only a RHINO could win in Mass. that supports abortion, ah, when it’s politically convenient and protective of his homosexual base. Need I venture into his kooky religion? GEESH! I understand why he doesn't want to discuss his unChristian "religion".

We’ll never win Illinois...atleast for a long-time. Not quite sure we want to with people supporting Ron so much.

Maybe the moron candidates are the ones who didn’t realize Illinois is an important state. Good news for Mitt, good news for Fred Thompson.

And good news for us cosnervatives that liberal Rudy and McCain do poorly among the real base.

Advice to the naysayers: Quit bashing candidates for daring to actually win something. Don’t tell me what you are against, tell me what you are FOR.

“Need I venture into his kooky religion?” You’ve exposed your prejudice on the matter enough already.

Ahhh, that makes the results even more interesting. If Giuliani actually puts blue states in play, why did he do so dismally in a blue-state straw poll in which both parties can vote?

Maybe the Democrats voted for Ron Paul since he is against Iraq and that is the #1 issue this year across both parties. Here is an interesting Electoral College Primary Poll Study: http://www.usaelectionpolls.com/2008/state-polls.html

Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair.

Must be a lonely day! Kind of like Barack Obama Day at the Utah State Fair!

“You may as well accept it. There is a growing group within the Republican party that remember conservatism as it once was. Speeches like Reagan and Goldwater used to give.”

Well, its a pity they didnt vote for a real, solid 100% conservative like say Duncan Hunter instead of Ron Paul, who, while a great libertarian-conservative in many ways, is running on a wobbly GWOT policy and caters to conspiracy mongers, including the 9/11 Truthers.

Something has been bothering me about the conspiratorial influence on the right these days, the “Alex Jones” factor that turns some rightwingers into carbon copies of left-looines when they talk about Govt and powers-that-be, and it finally crystallized to me this Sunday in north Austin, TX. I was following some SUV that had 2 signs on the back.
One said “Oppose the North American Union”
the other said ... “9/11 Was an Inside Job”
It hit me - you fall for one conspiracy theory, you fall for them all.

Would any responsible Constitutionalist want their core ideals associated with such nutty conpiracy-mongering?

His candidacy gets media interest but the core, interested and knowledge conservative base voters, are turning away from Rudy as they learn more.

Rineaux meant to equal Rhinoceros/Rhino.

First time I have seen/read a RHINO is the same as a RINO.

I know you didn’t write it, but do you think it is a typo?

Nationally he really tanks

Actually, it is others who are tanking and Romney who is rising nationally. Like they say, it's early yet. However, the more people get to know Rudy's record or McCain's record the less they like them, the opposite is true for Mitt:

State of the Race: Intrade and Endorsement Race

Mitt Romney Closing in on Giuliani in the National Race

And, Romney is rising in California and South Carolina as well.

CA Field Poll

[South Carolina] Republican race narrows

We know there are shills for other candidates on every Romney thread smearing him relentlessly. I guess it's because he is such a lousy candidate and has no chance of winning. But while engaging in such smearing, let's get the facts straight at least -- Romney is not tanking anywhere.

Now, if I’m a voter who’s never seen or heard of Hunter before—and he doesn’t talk about his presidential campaign—how do I know that he’s a candidate or what he’s running on? Why wouldn’t he take advantage of the opportunity and a conservative audience to talk about his campaign?

:::sh-h-h-h:::

(we're not s'posed to question such thangs)

>> Too bad Mitt had to spend 6 MONTHS there and OUT SPEND ever candidate there to run up a puny % <<

Mitt's been in Illinois for six monthes and outspending everyone? That's news to me. I'm an Illinois resident and I've never seen him here once or heard a single Mitt Romney ad.

Perhaps you are confusing us with Iowa residents.

>>>You want to know what is interesting about this? There actually is a Republican Party here in Illinois! They must come out every 17 years like the cicadas.<<<

*sigh* There actually is one in Illinois. They just get swallowed by Chicago. And really, the contrast doesn’t get much more stark than Southern Illinois and Chicago. Just night and day. Different worlds, different people...
