Well, ya all are NOT winning any converts with your attacks today. Cult indeed.
Yes or No?
It's that easy.
I would be thinking the same thing too if I looked at my information, etc.
I wish I could remember my old name. I could probably do some kind of search on here and find some of my old posts. I used to be very active on here, but I got busy and stopped posting for a while. Plus, it gets old arguing with people all the time so I give it a rest sometimes.
I have so many names and passwords for different accounts (bills, banks, credit cards, etc.) that I had to actually put them on a piece of paper to remember them all. I really don’t like to use the same one for unprotected sites and protected accounts, etc.
I am not trying to win any converts—I never have. Each person can believe what they want to believe. I was just giving you a taste of your own medicine. Who even said I was LDS to try to convert you?
I do understand. Hopefully, we can get them engaged on the substance. We don’t want to be saying things like, “How did he/she get elected? I don’t know anyone that voted for him/her”.
Neither is it about “Mormonism”, but the kooks have a hard time with that. It is always blood in the water with them.
The same thing happenned to me. I joined FR in 1999, but forgot my password. So I joined again in 2000 under this screen name. So I have actually been on FR for 8 years, not 7.
I also changed email accounts several times, so that makes it hard to find my information off old email accounts because I don’t have access to those any more. A lot of times, if you forget your password, they will send it to your email account. Problem is that I cannot get in that old email account anymore. It is easier to just start over sometimes.
When I skimmed it, I knew it was from the LDS church. However, I figured it was to clear up misconceptions that were in the movie. I did not look at the date on the article. I just assumed it was written in response to the movie.
Defenders of BY will say he knew nothing of it before the murders.
His actions afterward do tend to prove his guilt.
He covered up the crime and protected the killers.
He had the memorial destroyed.
And yet there are those who still today will defend. Heck the LDS church has a college named after him. That is disgusting, in my opinion. To honor a vile evil man like that.
Hmm, stoning people to death was also done in the Bible.
Yes polygamy was practiced in the Old Testement.
But Jesus taught against it. So who do you choose to believe? Jesus or the Old Testement?
You might ask someone to read the two to you so you can compare them.
Here's the first paragraph from this one:
This September marks the 150th anniversary of a terrible episode in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On September 11, 1857, some 50 to 60 local militiamen in southern Utah, aided by American Indian allies, massacred about 120 emigrants who were traveling by wagon to California. The horrific crime, which spared only 17 children age six and under, occurred in a highland valley called the Mountain Meadows, roughly 35 miles southwest of Cedar City. The victims, most of them from Arkansas, were on their way to California with dreams of a bright future.
And the first paragraph from the one Utah Girl posted several months ago, and I linked, which you say is different:

And, the last from each ( you tell me which is which):
8. John D. Lee, Lees Last Confession, San Francisco Daily Bulletin Supplement, Mar. 24, 1877.

I await your retraction and apology.
Do you read or just knee jerk your way around FreeRepublic? Try reading the article and the link to the actual transcript from the trial. You are so blinded by the lies you have been fed. You should start with the “Mormonism is a cult” tripe, just so we know where you stand. Take your bashing to another thread or try posting a thought like an adult.
Let's see, that is an interesting question. Are you saying the Old Testament is innacurate/wrong? Your question could also be worded, "So who do you choose to believe? Jesus or Jesus?"
That is mighty deep thinking for a Thursday evening.
So, Jesus taught against his own commandment? In other words He commanded men to do that which was contrary to His will? Or are you just saying that Jesus changed His mind? Perhaps you believe that Jesus is not the God of the Old Testament.
Please elaborate. Your wisdom so far has been express and, well, dizzying.
Where is it commanded by God for anyone in the OT to take muliple wives?
When confronted with facts some lash out.
Oh well.....
