If Islamofascists were using the Internet to advocate, plan, share information, and collaborate on acts of danger to your city, you would not, I think, allow them to use the shield of free speech, or say that suppressing their criminal activities was offensive to American liberties.
If you don't want your little children to be stalked, molested, and raped, you have to take legal action, bringing the sex sickoes before a jury which will convict only if they are convinced by evidence of responsibility and harm.
That's not welfarism/nannystatism. It's civil liability and criminal enforcement. And what are you talking about, Steve McKing: you don't mind sexual competition for your children?
There is no large commercial or political movement to sexually prey on kids (and where ever there is, I naturally oppose it).
