Blues Musician Jimmie Vaughan to perform National Anthem at MIS: Famous contemporary blues musician and classic car enthusiast Jimmie Vaughan steps to the stage as he mixes his two passions – music and cars – during the 3M Performance 400 Nextel Cup Series race weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Vaughan will perform during the 3M Car Care Auto Fair on Saturday, August 18 and perform the National Anthem prior to the 3M Performance 400 on Sunday, August 19. Vaughan’s distinct style as a musician, songwriter and bandleader has made him a living legend. In addition to his four solo albums since 1990, Vaughan has recorded and performed with Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, B.B. King, Willie Nelson, Don Henley [his late great brother Stevie Ray Vaughan] and countless others. Vaughan is currently on tour opening for Bob Dylan. His upcoming album with Omar Kent Dykes, titled “On The Jimmy Reed Highway,” will be available in stores August 21.

Oh yeah! Leaa and mean.. Some folks probably remember the first year or two ,, what a couple of grinders those years were.. lol.. when Nascar was finding itself .. or something.. and we had the occasional lovefest on the threads back then too.
