Things were pretty much that way in the US and UK before WWII. In the US there was Joe Kennedy and the Bund, in the UK there was also an elite set of apologists for the Nazis.
Things will change if the Moslems are more aggressive or more successful.......

Remember when Elliot Ness could go in with guns blazing and be considered a hero?

We are democracies so we throw away money buying votes, or get voted out for someone who will do the same. Meanwhile these oil rich states invest a portion of their money and it grows over time.
Naturally if anyone is a large shareholder they are going to control the output when it comes into conflict with their other goals.
Also they are customers. Saudi Arabia and co buy a lot from GE for water desalianation and power supplies. I personally wouldn’t want to buy from someone who was working against me. So NBC probably tones down its anti-Saudi rhetoric if they request it.
On the positive side all our media is hitting them, through the internet, sattelite tv, videos, music etc.. it has to be westernizing them to some level.

The more you think about that one sentence the more profound it becomes.

Heard about this on talk radio this morning on the way to work. This should be in breaking news! When will we be told the truth? Are there any other papers repotying on this? It is a federal trial, going on right now.
