You forgot to mention that the average prosecutor is a politcally ambitious glory hound that loves to read his/her name in the paper and see his/her face on TV flanked by reporters.
NAH... Being a celebrity is an advantage in avoiding indictment. Once indicted ,however, it is a decided disadvantage. The reason is Judges ( Federal judges in particular) see an advantage in giving high profile defendants more than average sentences as a deterent value. “ Pour encourger les autres”.
