“A life without risk is not worth living.”

Wow, that’s deep. (Or not.)

Not deep, simply true.

Nanny staters are more dangerous to our nation than anything they are trying to protect us from.

‘Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for
the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.
It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies.
The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated;
but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.’’ — CS Lewis

A clown has had the smile wiped off his face after being told he couldn't use balloons in his act because children might be allergic to latex.

The store then went on to announce it's partnership with the Planned Parenthood condom giveaway for teens.

Why don’t we just take our kids and lock them in their sterilized rooms until they’re 30??

I think I’ll add that to my FR home page. I’ve seen it before, and it certainly fits with some of the other stuff I have there.

I see the children get off the bus, knowing the world has stopped for them. I wonder what we are teaching them.

I'm not sure what they're learning from it, but having looked at the reported data from 1970 thru 2002 I've learned that fatalities of children hit by vehicles passing school buses today is significantly reduced from what it was 30 years ago, (e.g., 45 such deaths nationwide in 1970 versus 6 in 2002)(http://www.ksde.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=FwCB4qoKlUw%3d&tabid=346&mid=856).

I can't imagine you believe that the higher fatality count years ago was simply the necessary cost of teaching our children that the world doesn't stop for them. So I don't know what you're trying to say, really, other than that you think kids today are too protected. While I don't disagree with that in general, I think you chose an awfully poor example to make your point.
