"there appears to be no benefit and in fact there may be a reduction in language development." While I don't think these videos necessarily make the child "smarter", I have a hard time arguing with my 2 and 4 year olds using sign language and foreign language words in the right way. But then again, I (we) actually interact and pay attention to our kids, not just plop them down in front of the box for an hour.
