“Would Jesus have refused to give this man a funeral?”
Jesus could have healed him of his disorder.
But not of his choice in volition.
Instead, the consequences of that volition are allowed to follow their path.
When they result in good for nothingness and no other opportunity exists to perform good in that person;s life, God promotes them to either heaven or removes them from the clutter to the place where the worm never sleeps.
Even the Lake of Fire created for the fallen angels as a place for final disposition is simply a place for those things found to be good for nothingness.
