I was always curious what deal the PLO worked up with Arafat’s wife. Arafat, nor anyone in the inner circle of the PLO, trusted her enough with the banking business and she was simply given an allowance. There are alot of suggestions that the PLO had to work out a deal with her, to ensure the body came quickly back for the burial. No one talks about the money that was sent or ensured...but at her rate of $100k per month being spent living just in the hotel in Paris...I’d be suspecting over $20 million had to be handed over and some assurance of more later. You see absolutely no mention of her today in the news...while she raises his kid. I’m thinking that she is biding her time and waiting for the kid to reach 25...and become a huge player in PLO politics.
A friend of Suha Arafat is running for President in the US...maybe she will be hired as a Middle East expert in the next Clinton administration.
