Former senator Fred D. Thompson (Tenn.), who is not yet an official candidate, had his “FredHeads” there, passing out fliers.

No he didn’t. They were there on their own accord as independent grassroots activists.
They were probably the only people there who weren’t being paid.

hi make up your mind - was everybody else being paid or does the poll matter.

You don’t even make sense.
But your inability for logical though is not my fault.
The straw poll doesn’t matter for Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani.
I think that is pretty clear.

Guys showed up for both of them anyways. They were not paid by the campaigns, however, unlike the activists organized by the candidates who were competing in the straw poll. For those who actually ran in the poll, it was a test of their organizational strength.
I don’t understand why I have to explain the mechanics of the iowa Straw Poll to some of you guys.
You can research it on your own.
