Questions are being raised about whether the Cro-Magnon characters will reinforce racial stereotypes. Of course they are. Whether it is a sitcom, the weather report, or a documentary about hummingbirds, the professional racists will raise questions about racial stereotypes. That is what they do; that is what they have done for a long time; and by now, they are very good at doing it.

And all this time I thought the cavemen were white!

I do not watch sitcoms, but the premise that the caveman from those senseless commercials might make a good show, is as unfathomable to me as are the salaries paid to the folks who came up with the stupid spots in the first place.

Someone has a very low opinion of himself. Part of the problem with that culture.

Maybe they should've tried "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer"

To quote the rather-white caveman in the commercial with the talking-head
lady with her psycho-babble comment:
“Uh, What?”
Anybody that thinks the GEICO caveman concept is racist and insults
blacks has real dangerous powers of imagination and a boatload of
paranoia.
Well, maybe the guy has a point. I’ve yet to see the GEICO cavemen do
a drive-by shooting, so maybe the insult is that the GEICO CAVEMEN
are shown as being more cultured that some of our gang-banging fellow citizens.

CAUTION: This commercial has been judged to be offensive to liberals and
other smelly pot-smoking alternative life-style hippie-types, but I repeat myself. .

It’s reassuring to know that at least one of the cavemen is gay, explains a lot.

Some of the jokes are about their sexual processThat wouldn't be something like "sexual prowess" would it?
So easy a caveman can edit it.

maybe someone should point out the dudes are white. Maybe his TV needs adjusting—he sounds confused or has eye problems

Cro Magnon man and Neanderthal man were European (and Middle Eastern), right?
If the series gets canned, does that mean ABC goes with the gekko?
