Apparently not on Free Republic. I will vote for either Rudy or Thompson if they wind up being the Republican nominee. But it seems like on here I can’t see anything even slightly positive about Rudy without being accused of being a troll or a closet liberal. Likewise, I can’t even make the slightest criticism about Fred Thompson without the same thing happening.

I should probably just leave FR. My thoughts are obviously not welcome here. GOODBYE!!!

I think the virulence of the Rudy haters tends to keep those of us that appreciate his leadership from coming forth as much.
I consider Rudy much more economically conservative than Nixon, and I wounder how many Rudy haters would have voted for McGovern over Rudy?
