The part about still receiving a pay check was never answered. If he is not , he probably is in the inactive reserves, which means he does not go to monthly drills.
If he is receiving a pay check then he is in a specific Guard or Reserve unit. He states that he is a Captain, so he could possibly be a Company Commander. As a former Guardsman, I find his behavior very divisive to any unit he may be assigned to.
I think he is still active and that is why he would not answer the question and why Mathews ended the discussion. I have been reading a little about him on the blogs and there was much discussion about how hypocritical it was of him to berate the soldier in uniform at the KOS convention when he himself is still active. I agree 100% that his behavior is very divisive. And let me thank you for your service to our great nation!
