Glad they caught it early...otherwise, bad news.

Prognosis is excellent these days. Everyone’s cured except the few who won’t see doctors.

I like being upbeat but have met few that were “cured” and those were because of early diagnosis and aggressive treatment.

You’re fortunate you survived. My cousin developed meningitis after something bit her in Albuquerque where she raised horses. She refused to go to the emergency room until it was too late. By the time her idiot husband got her to the hospital, she was barely conscious. She died three days after her symptoms first appeared. She was only 62 years old.

My doctor said it is mostly confined to northeastern states, but there have been a few cases here.

That's a load of BS man, straight up period, lyme is everywhere in the US and that cause of more than you know.

Prognosis is excellent these days. Everyone’s cured except the few who won’t see doctors.

What a load of BS, sorry, but you guys don't know crap about lyme, it is not mostly curable at all.

1) Everyone with Morgellons tests positive for Lyme, and the CDC just admitted it has received more inquiry's about Morgellons than all other deseases combined, an emerging epidemic they call it
2) Ask these folks Lymenet.org
3) Dr. James Howenstine

ALS, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, it's all lyme related folks, America has a massive parasitic infection. If you care to know read this

I've had lyme and worse since 1992, I am only now getting better since stopping worthless anti-biotics and doing Samento, Cat's Claw, Cumanda and other very powerful and healing anti-biotics ...

In 1995 Dr. Mattman obtained positive cultures for Bb from 43 of 47 persons with chronic illness. Only 1 of 23 control patients had a positive Bb culture. Dr. Mattman has subsequently recovered Bb spirochetes from 8 out of 8 cases of Parkinson’s Disease, 41 cases of multiple sclerosis, 21 cases of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and all tested cases of Alzheimer’s Disease. The complete recovery of several patients with terminal amyotrophic lateral sclerosis after appropriate therapy shows the great importance of establishing the diagnosis of Lyme Disease.

Sorry, but what a load of BS, lyme is only in the Northeast, Lyme is mostly curable, truth is, the Medical profession doesn't even really know what LYME is yet.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of side-effects are you still suffering from?”

I don’t mind you asking at all. I had Lyme disease for ten years before the doctor ever diagnosed me. I never got bit by a tick so there was no reason for me to suspect Lyme disease. I was diagnosed as having arthritis and fibromyalgia. Even though I was treated by an arthritis doctor for several years my symptoms continued to get worse.

My wife felt that there had to be something more to this because the symptoms went beyond what people normally have when they have arthritis and fibro. She decided to do a search on the internet and noticed that Lyme disease kept popping up on her search. That didn’t make sense to me because, like I said, I never got a tick bite before. My wife insisted I share this information with my arthritis doctor and ask him if he would run some tests on me to see if I might have Lyme disease. That didn’t go well with my doctor when I asked him about the possibility of me having Lyme disease. He told me that people in Oklahoma don’t get Lyme disease and it would be a waste of my money to get tested for it. He acted like I insulted him by even asking the question. He told me, “I know what I’m doing and if you had Lyme disease I would know it!” Translation: I’m the doctor, you’re the patient, don’t ask questions!

After having this bad experience at the doctor’s office I told my wife that I’m sure the doctor knows what he’s talking about so no reason to pursue this. She was adamant that I find a doctor who would test me for Lyme disease. In Oklahoma Lyme disease is unheard of, or so they say. Anyway, after visiting another doctor and getting the same response as the first one, I knew it was a waste of time trying to get a diagnosis for Lyme disease in Oklahoma, so we decided to search for a Lyme disease specialist. Sadly, they don’t have Lyme disease specialists in Oklahoma so I had to go to Springfield, MO because this was the closest Lyme disease specialist I could find near my home.

To make a long story short, I had all the tests that needed to be done and they came back positive for Lyme disease. I asked the doctor how I could have contracted this disease since I had no recollection of getting bit by a tick. He asked me if I ever had a blood transfusion at anytime in my life. I did indeed have a blood transfusion ten years earlier. He said that is how I most likely got Lyme disease. It’s not common but it is known to happen. The doctor put me on antibiotics for several months and as time went on I improved, but sadly, I never fully recovered because of the damage that was done in the ten years since I had the disease.

What are the effects I still live with? Fatigue, easily exhausted, joint pain, stiffness in my neck, neck cramps, arthritis, weakness in my legs, muscle spasms, muscle soreness, difficulty concentrating, memory lapses, forgetfulness, brain fog, and headaches. In the afternoons if I don’t lay down to rest I will not be able to do hardly anything the next day. I’m only 53 years old but I often feel like I’m 73 years old. If I had been diagnosed earlier I most likely would have been cured and living a full and productive life.

Unfortunately, many doctors never think about Lyme disease when diagnosing their patients. Not only that, but if you suggest that they check you for it they look at you like you’re a stupid jerk. Many doctors in Oklahoma don’t believe that Lyme disease is a problem here, but more and more they are finding people being diagnosed with Lyme disease here. Many people go their whole lives with these symptoms and the doctor never considers Lyme disease as a possibility. If it wasn't for my wife insisting that I go to a specialist I probably would have never known too.

Hope that answers your question. If there is anything else you want to know feel free to ask.

Dude, I never got bit by a tick ... ???

I cannot believe what I am hearing, you don't feel the bite of a deer tick? See this period following this word . that is the size of a deer tick, what a stupid doctor, it goes to show how stupid and ill informed folks are and why this is spreading. A deer tick will become engorged and fall off you body and you'll never know it, meanwhile, you got Lyme, Babesia, and a dozen other TBI's (tick borne illnesses). Honestly, you were never bitten by a tick? Again, this period . is a nymph tick, the most infectious kind. Sorry dude, I did years of anti-biotics and have suffered immensnly, I wont tell my story, it's worse.

What a load of BS.

What is the prognosis?
Most individuals with Lyme disease respond well to antibiotics and have full recovery. In a few patients symptoms of persisting infection may continue or recur, requiring additional antibiotic treatment. Varying degrees of permanent joint or nervous system damage may develop in patients with late chronic Lyme disease. In rare cases, some individuals may die from Lyme disease and its complications.

That is total BS, it is not true. The insurance companies that would go brankrupt trying to treat it.

Read my post above, ALS, Alhiemers, MS, Parkinsons, this is all lyme, and now Morgellons is lyme, all Morgellons folks will test postive for lyme. So, you feel snug and safe in that statement, I know otherwise.

There are 15 million people in the US with lyme, their passing it thier children through birth, and now the CDC is opening a emergency study in California for Morgellons which has turned into a world wide epidemic, most of the patients to scared to admit they have to anyone, but it's contagious, oh man it's contagious ....

If that makes you feel safe, stick with it, I'm serious, I wish I didn't know what I know.

OAKLAND -- KTVU Channel 2 has learned the federal Centers for Disease Control has asked Kaiser Permanente to begin the nation’s first epidemiologic study of "Morgellons Disease," a mysterious ailment that the government terms an "unexplained and debilitating condition that has emerged as a public health concern."

KTVU Health and Science Editor John Fowler was the first in the nation to report on this “mystery disease” as it was called in 2004. He reported the skin disorder seemed to cause fibers and filaments to emerge from the skin of sufferers, and also seemed to cause neurological problems patients described as "brain fog."

John followed up with other reports, and founders of a non-profit group hoping to help sufferers understand the disease named it Morgellons. As of February this year, the Morgellons Research Foundation has identified more than ten thousand families nationwide. John profiled former A’s pitcher Billy Koch who says both he and his wife have symptoms.

KTVU has obtained a federal Request for Quotation, delivered to Kaiser Permanente, that says the CDC now wants its nationwide study to be focused in the Bay Area because 24% of Morgellons patients "reside in California with geographic clustering in the San Francisco metropolitan area."

Federal doctors now want Kaiser Permanente to conduct an urgent epidemiologic investigation with results due by next May "...to better characterize the clinical and epidemiologic features of this condition; to generate hypotheses about factors that may cause or contribute to sufferers' symptoms; and to estimate the prevalence of the condition in the population; and to provide information to guide public health recommendations."

The CDC for the first time publicly says Morgellons is "an emerging public health problem."

==============================

They will all test positive for Lyme. http://www.ktvu.com/health/13810037/detail.html

As usual, the rumor is this is only in certain areas, totally not true, it's US and nationwide and it's Lyme on steroids and you can get it by just sitting in the wrong chair, sleeping in a hotel bed, you name it ... Search for Morgellons and Lyme and see what you find ...

Now that’s scary, the symptoms you describe, because that is what I have been experiencing.

I have spent my entire life being outdoors a lot, have pulled more ticks off me than I care to remember.

I had the bullseye rash back many years ago, went to a doctor and he said it was not Lyme. Then, I pulled many ticks off me since then. About three months ago I began getting dizzy all the time, for no reason. My hands and neck hurt a lot. I went to my current doctor, and requested a Lyme test. Came back negative. I have pains shoot up my neck, head, and right arm constantly. I am a healthy person, very active.

I requested a stress test, since my Dad died at 56 with a massive heart attack and his entire family died young. I aced it, do more physical activity in a day than the test required.

Then I requested a blood test. Nothing. A few weeks ago my doctor sent me for an xray. They said I have arthritus in my neck. Sometimes I can barely move my neck, and my hands are so numb sometimes I can barely hold a cup or glass.

I keep on moving, being active. But I know there’s something not right here.

I’m not discounting the possibility that I did get bit, but I never had the bullseye rash and I simply don’t recall ever being bitten before. I get your point and admit it is possible. The Lyme doctor said it was possible that it came from a blood transfusion. There is no way to know for sure how I got it.

You seem to know a lot about this. I would be interested in getting any information you have on this. The antibiotics that I took created a whole other problem for me. My stomach has been a mess since I took the antibiotics and I’ve never been the same since. If you have any information that could be helpful to me send it to my mail box. Thanks!

Did your doctor give you a ELISA test or a Western blot test? If you didn’t get this then there is no way your doctor could conclude that you don’t have Lyme disease. From what you posted, I would be surprised if you didn’t have Lyme disease, especially since you had the bullseye rash. Make sure your doctor gave you the two tests I mentioned, and if he didn’t, you need to get them. I suggest you see a Lyme specialist.

Yes, yes, the anti-biotics did the same to me. The problem is Lyme comes with a seroius fungal aspect, the anti-biotics feed this by killing off the natural flora in your gut and letting not only candida thrive but the fungal soup left behind by the spirochetes.

I went off anti-biotics finally and said, this is it, if I die I die, guess what, I didn't, I stayed the same, actually, got somewhat better by not doing the drugs, however, when I discovered anti-fungals, oh baby, did I get better, and no prescriptions needed, all natural immune system building too.

Two things I recommend, NutraMedix Cumanda and Samento, but start out slow, it's great stuff, you can have a major herx off Samento, it's a great killer of lyme and parasites. And this might suprise you, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Hienz from the grocery store. Take two table spoons twice a day, in a glass of water, drink with a straw to avoid test and keep it off your teeth. Believe me, in two weeks you'll be amazed. It's amazingly anti-fungal and will balance you PH which I am sure is highly Acidic as is all americans because of our diets. Your health will dramatically improve. Again, if you do Samento start with one drop a day for a week and build up. I highly recommend Rain Tree Brand Cat's Claw, very good. I feel better than I have for a decade.

Do you get sinus infections or sore throats, have eye issues? it's all fungal, ACV will knock it dead.

Finally, do a 30 day tablet based colon cleanse, your gut is full of years of compacted crap and toxins (everybody's is really). You cannot absorb half the stuff your body needs because of this, honestly, keep your gut clean, balance your PH, get the flora in your gut back with probotics and digestive enzymes and do the things I suggested.

I am not a doctor, but then, I was never cured by one either .... You can by the NutraMedix stuff online. So much more I could say on this ....
