Though more liberal than other Republicans, he would probably sweep the south if nominated. Does anybody really think that Hillary Clinton has a good chance of carrying any southern state?
“Though more liberal than other Republicans, he would probably sweep the south if nominated. Does anybody really think that Hillary Clinton has a good chance of carrying any southern state?”
Florida, if you count that as part of the South.
I don;t think she will win any southern state, except maybe Florida.
If up against Giuliani, Hillary could win Florida, possibly Louisiana.
If the GOP takes away delegates from Florida, the GOP primary winner will get no help winning FL...so Guli leading in FL may not mean much in the primary
Although I’m leaning towards Mitt right now, I have to admit that not only would Rudy probably clobber Shrillary in the South, (which is where Pubbies are going to win anyway),he would also have a very good chance of beating her in some Blue states such as PA, NJ and CT.
Should he actually take one of these states and FL, the game is over.
When you do a serious analysis of the Electoral map, I don’t think at this point, that the man can be beaten by any of the Dems
“. Does anybody really think that Hillary Clinton has a good chance of carrying any southern state?”
Three: West Virginia, Missouri and Arkansas.
If Rudy wins a few NE states like Maine and NJ and NH, that would cover for not winning those three states.
But I think people need to realize that Prez Bush has seriously damaged the Republican Party in the South to the point that mobs of people are switching from “Republican” to “Independent”.
This isn’t the South of 2004 folks.
Hillary is a HUGE problem for the Dems... she can’t carry PA.... and without PA, that means the Dems MUST pick up a state or two to make up for PA, as well as get Ohio or Florida... something they haven’t been able to do.
Hillary is DOA in PA, she cannot even rely on the party faithful to vote for her here.
Well, she did try that fake southern accent on them!
