Sullivan is a foreigner. He doesn’t have an ear for fiction pandering to white urban liberal class and regional prejudices about the military and its men.
Saw the same thing in British papers when John Kerry made his “stuck in Iraq” remarks. They were dumbfounded, but we knew he really meant it.

What a laugh. Just a little too late besides Weekly Standard has run a story that talks about the lies this guy spewed and how he has signed an affidavit recanting his bs. He wasn’t even in Iraq during one of his stories
